ARREST HAS BEEN MADE

CrimeStoppers and the
Oblong Police Department need you help in finding the person who
broke into the Oblong IGA Food Center at 4:20 am on Sunday, Feb.
1, 2009. The suspect is 5 foot 4 inches tall with a slight built.
He made entrance into the building by removing a board above the
door on the north side of the store. He crawled through an 8 1/2
inch space above the door. He was wearing a blue jean jacket over
a grey hooded sweat shirt. He was also wearing a ball cap, black
shoes, jeans and gloves. The robber took $3,000 in cash and
$1,500 in tobacco products. He left the store by the front door
at 4:53 am. It is believed he fled on foot. Surveillance video of
the robbery is being enhanced by the Illinois State Police Crime
Lab and will be released to the CrimeStoppers website at a later
date.
CrimeStoppers is offering a $500 reward for
information on the suspect that results in his arrest and
conviction. You may receive a cash reward and still remain
